Return Of The Snakes is here, and I wanted to take a minute to acknowledge what it is to me.

I’ve been making music since I was a boy - a fun pastime to have to keep the mind ticking over. Nothing serious, nothing sacred. I have never really strived for perfection or promotion - whether 2 or 200 people hear it, the goal is always the same; create something I enjoy.

There was a definite shift in the writing process with this album. Lyrics are a strange thing to me, personal and shared. In the past I’ve been guilty of writing without really pushing, leaning or pulling in any direction. However, the songs on this album seemed to freely pour out of me over the course of the last 12 months - a period of time that coincided with the birth of my daughter.
Not only did that reshape my way of writing, but my outlook on life, my valuation of time, art, and love.
Becoming the focal point of something so precious, and loved, and brittle.
Porcelain living.

This is the album I’ve always wanted to write, record, and learn from, and It’s no coincidence it came at a time of new beginnings.

Return Of The Snakes is about shedding your skin - the purest phase. Keep slithering and share your flaws. Warts and all. Whether you’re in the dark, light or somewhere in between, you can always start again. Refresh.
